Well it is finally here, my final editorial as sports editor for the Eagle Eye. I have mixed emotions about this day. It will be my last issue ever, but it also frees up my Tuesdays.
For the last four semesters I have spent every Tuesday sitting in the office editing stories and putting the paper together.

As journalists we have certain rules and standards to adhere to. Obvious examples include being fair, being accurate and being impartial.
Another unwritten, or perhaps written, rule of journalism is not to deceive the people you are reporting on. I have only been doing this for two years and even I know that.

As a former LHU student I have an interest in the style and presentation of the electronic presentation of the Eagle Eye on the web. I have noticed and am painfully aware of the overemphasis of the "deer in the headlights" representation of college students in general and LHU students by inference from the "subliminal" background presentation on this website.

With all of the attention being given to Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton as their primary battle rages on, I can't help but worry that John McCain will get lost in the shuffle.
Really, when is the last time you heard anything newsworthy about him? Just look at the situation in Pennsylvania.
